PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Intern
National Institute of Standards and Technology
Gaithersburg, MD
At NIST, I worked with the Metrology of the Ohm project, which is responsible for defining and maintaining the ohm. There, I was responsible for a number of different projects, ranging from simple electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to complex quantum measurement devices. Many of my projects included design, manufacturing, and testing, like the Quantum Hall Resistance Chamber and the Ultra-Low Noise Relay.

Lab Coordinator
Terrapin Works
College Park, MD
Terrapin Works is a collection of makerspaces on the University of Maryland campus. The different labs cover every type of manufacturing, from woodworking to 3D printing. Working there, I have learned many advanced, industry-standard technologies. These include 3D printing (FDM, SLA, SLS), CNC routing, milling, turning, laser cutting, etc. I was promoted to Lab Coordinator of the woodshop, managing a staff of 10 and ensuring the space was operated safely and efficiently.

Intern
Next Step Robotics
Baltimore, MD
I got the opportunity to work with a former professor at his startup, where I was tasked with fabricating an upper-arm rehabilitation device. This included utilizing in-house 3D printers, and some of the facilities at UMD, including the electronics shop and CNC machines. After the fabrication, I was able to contribute to the design of the 2nd generation prototype.
